Registering an Authentication Restriction

IP authentication restriction is an additional layer of security that limits access to the McFile platform to connections originating from authorized networks only. This configuration is essential to ensure the system is accessed exclusively from controlled environments, such as the company's internal network or specific VPN connections.

Authentication restriction control is exclusive to users with Administrator permissions.

IP restriction configuration

1. Click on your username located in the upper right corner of the screen.
2. Select the Admin option.
3. In the navigation menu, go to Authentication > IP Restriction.
4. Click the Add restriction button.
5. Enter a name for the restriction, the users subject to it, and the IP addresses that should have access permission.
6. Click the Create button, located at the upper right side of the screen, to activate the security rules.
After completing this process, any login attempt originating from an unlisted IP address will be automatically blocked by the system.
